Hello, i need help. I bought a pc with GTX 650 2gb DDR5, AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black and 8 GB ram. When I start playing any game, even CS:GO, my games freeze and then crash. I dont know why, it isn't because of drivers, I updated Windows updates, uninstalled and then reinstalled gpu drivers. Please, help, i wan't to play games!

So can the parts we know for a fact that are 10 yrs old, like the parts he told us about.
It may be something as simple as replacing possible 10 yr old thermal paste.
Sorry but just randomly telling someone to replace hardware when there is zero information to go on is bad advice.

We need to know what type of crashes he's having first.

I will kindly step aside and let your solve his problem.

Crash how?
Crash to desktop?
Blue screen crash?
Any error codes after the crash?
PC crashes and shuts off?

You need to be more specific.

Download this free benchmark tool and run the test: https://benchmark.unigine.com/heaven It will stress test your GPU. See if the PC crashes during the test.

Download this free stress tool. https://www.mersenne.org/download/ run it for about 20 mins. It will stress test your CPU and memory. See if your PC crashes during the test.

In the meantime, what make/model is your motherboard? What Windows OS are you running?

If your CPU and GPU passed the stress tests the next thing would be a software issue of some sort. I had an ASUS M4N72-E motherboard which is very similar to what you have.

If I remember correctly (from nearly 10 years ago), I had to update my audio driver from VIA directly to stop COD 4 from crashing.

1: Go to VIA's website here: http://www.via-drivers.com/viatech-sound-drivers.html
2: Scroll down to to "VT1708 S) and click one of the down arrows next to it that matches your version of Windows". Those are actually the newest one they've made for your audio card.

Edit: Make sure you have the latest BIOS installed also. The last one they had was in 2011. It say it improved system stability: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M4N78_PRO/HelpDesk_BIOS/

You can go into the BIOS and look under "system information". It will tell you there

I can't remember what button gets you into the BIOS.

As soon as you press the power button on the PC to turn it on immediately and rapidly keep pressing the delete key until you are in the BIOS.

If the delete key doesn't work, try the same steps one at a time using the F7 or F8 keys.

Hi, I am sorry for making you wait for SOOO LONG. I forgot about it. It was in a PC service and it still doesn't work properly. They said that IT ALL WORKS 100% PROPERLY! But it doesn't. They probably just reset PC and installed a new copy of Windows 10. After that I tried resetting it but it is still the same. Could it be happening because the HDD is faulty or maybe GPU or PCU is faulty? And, what do I press after I get into BIOS? Thanks for helping me and sorry for being such a jerk.
