i7 4770k high temp

Im using the intel stock cpu cooler on i7 4770k
I used to gaming with this old cpu. the average of temp while gaming was 75~80 by playin rainbow six siege , bf1 on ultra setting but yesterday I started playing like always but the temp went on 97c.
idle temp is around 39 which it was before.
idle voltage is 0.8~0.6
cpu goes on 4.0ghz while gaming.
the question is if I change thermal paste will is make any differences?
or should I buy a better cooler?

the intel stock cooler isnt capable of keeping the 4770k cool, using a different thermal paste wont make any difference.
You should buy a new cooler.

I can tell you this first hand

I used my 4770k 2 weeks with stock cooler but no matter what i did it was reaching 100C really quick and startet to throttle something shut down.
Then i bought a Dark Rock 3 and now i am at 60C under full load

i recommend artic MX-4, any paste from a famous brand would be good(artic, coolermaster,zalman) but if you got a kidney to sell then go with grizzly kryonaut

and the NOTOUS 200-PWM looks good (never saw that brand), again i recommend some brand name for cheap coolers zalman, antec , cooler master, but that NOTOUS does looks really good.

Do you think its all that I have to do for better temp?
cos temp suddenly increased , maybe its a software problem or voltage...
idle temp with stock fan and too old paste is 37! I think if it were cooling problem it couldnt be 37c at idle.

your clocks and voltage look ok.
it doesn't suddenly increase its over time but even under load 70-80 it little much, under load 60-70 max. that is why we recommend you to change the cooler

my friend has the same processor and when we tested the temps in overclock 4.4ghz with Zalman Performa CNPS10x his temps are idle 30 and on synthetic full load its around 55-65.

Is it necessary to clean previous fresh paste and use the paste after removing the cooler for installing another one?
cos I tested the stock fan with new past it went on 71c while gaming I wanna use that Notous.

yes, allways clean the cpu and cooler from old paste (alcohol 92+% if it comes off hard)

I bought that notuos 400pwm cooler. it works perfectly at all games except Rainbow Six Siege after new update.
cpu goes around 79c avg 94c at max.
