Raid configuration across m.2 and sata 3

First post lol, so I have a dell inspiron 7559 laptop with an i7 6700hq and gtx 960m. It has a single m.2 (b&m slot) and a sata 3 port where the old hard drive was, I’d like to know if a raid 0 config with two Samsung 860 evos would work.

Also, if this is possible would it matter if I used a 2.5” 860 evo in the sata bay, or would I need to use an m.2 to sata adapter and have both ssd’s be m.2?

It doesn't work like that. For benchmarks and copying files and loading singular large files sure. But in terms of performance running Windows or loading games, you will barely notice the difference if at all.

Meanwhile the detriments are if one drive fails you're totally screwed, if your system crashes when you reboot the drives have to resync which takes time. There really is no benefit thats worth it.
Sadly, I don't think that would work, although I may be wrong.
My question is, why would you want to risk raiding?
You won't see any benefits, especially in Raid 0 and you will be very angry when one finally fails and you lose everything.
Also if you think Raid 0 would make your laptop faster, you are very mistaken in this as well.

You do have a point about losing data. Let’s say somehow I got it to work, how exactly would it not increase the speed? Doesn’t raid 0 spread the data across both drives therefore almost doubling the speed?
