So I've been having a problem where my pc hard freezes after about 20-30 mins of gameplay. I've tried everything that forums suggested such as checking drivers and compatibility issues but nothing seemed to work until someone suggested trying to diagnose the problemusing stress testing. I ran Prime95 on my cpu for 23 hours and everything turned out fine. However, after I ran MSI kombustor and stress tested my gpu, it hard froze my pc twice.

My problem now is knowing what to do next. Do I need to buy a new GPU or is there another, cheaper way I can solve this? My GPU is a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB.

I was recommended a 400W PSU but went for a Corsair 500W PSU instead so I think it should be fine. However, I don't know how to test if the PSU is a problem. Maybe you could help me?..

Also how would I safely underclock my GPU?

I downloaded it but the only tabs there are Graphics Card, Sensors, Advanced and Validation. I can't find stress test anywhere.

UPDATE: I found the test. Running it now.

If it's an issue with a bad video card you don't need to buy a new one, just contact the vendor for a warranty exchange. Power supply is OK, temps are not too high. Best way to see if the card is an issue is to test it in another system with a good power supply.
