so recently i purchased a rx580 and its been running games fine, normal fan spin rate, normal heat etc. But i noticed one thing when i would go afk (just leaving the screen on pc on and going to do a quick task) the rpm would reach 1999 or 1645 rpm and 50 gpu temp this was abnormal as it would stay at 0 rpm while browsing the internet or moving my mouse on the desktop and the heat would vary between 40-45 gpu temp. i cant find a solution online and i don't want my gpu fans to sound like a jet and the fans to spin off the gpu. HELP:ouch:

(p.s) before the rx580 i had a HD 4600 and the same thing would happen i would go afk from g-mod and the games used to lag until i moved the mouse or walked forward

Solution
If you reinstalled windows, the problem would probably be the motherboard. If not, could be too many things.

As for the CPU, unless it's heating up the case or malfunctioning, it shouldn't mess around with the GPU fan.

also this only happens when i got "AFK"
it doesn't just speed up randomly only when im afk
even on the desktop ill just sit there doing nothing (AFK) while the fan speeds would rise from 0 to 1999-2400rpm

Just enable startup on Afterburner and forget about it.

As for the fan doing that when your AFK, what did you upgrade? Just GPU or everything? This could be windows, software or mobo interfering.
