Chrome won't run on integrated GPU, instead running on the main GPU raising its clocks & temp

laptop - gtx 1060 maxq - i7 7700hq

i noticed high gpu temp at idle (0% load) 60C so i checked what could be running at background causing the issue, found out its chrome, by closing it the clocks decreased and the temp as well, so tried to make chrome run on the integrated gpu from selecting it from manage 3d settings and choosing the integrated gpu then apply ..... nothing happened when i open chrome again it runs on the Nvidia card causing the issue

so how can i force Chrome to run on the integrated please ?

If the GPU is running 60c at idle with 0% usage that is likely because you have high performance mode turned on in nvidia control panel, this will force the GPU to run at base clocks at all times. If that is the case it will likely idle around 60c where the fan threshold is. Regardless of if you have it accelerating chrome or not.

To answer your question do you have hardware acceleration turned on in chromes settings? That might fix it, if chrome will even run on an iGPU. I personally just use my GPU. If it will run on the iGPU that would likely increase CPU temps some.

yes hardware acceleration was turned on by turning it off now chrome isn't running on Nvidia and gpu's clocks & temp is normal while chrome is active and i cant see cpu is overheating or something, i may turn it on again if chrome gets slower or cpu gets hotter

Thank you :)
