I tried to do a mild overclock on my 3930K i7 to 4 ghz using the OC settings of my MSI board (Msi X79A-GD45 (8D). I went under the OC Genie mode, turned the strap clock fron auto/1.0 to 1.25. (I cant change the mhz setting). The last few times i tried rebooting it after, it keeps shutting down halfway thru boot.
Im using an aircooler, equivalent to a Hyer 212 evo.
Any ideas?

Update: got it set back to standard mode and it booted to windows. Anyone know how to properly OC this cpu with this board?
