Hi guys,
i would like to ask if it's better to pair the motherboard Gigabyte b450 aorus pro with ryzen 5 2600X/ 2600?

I heard about VRM.What is VRM means? It's often to happen in this motherboard.

I'm building a pc for gaming and programing but not much on gaming ( only in medium or high setting good enough fr me ) Not a fan on OC but nice to have that feature.

Please Help me..

Solution

Like the other person said, unless the engineers were sleeping, it should be able to handle a non overclocked 2600 just fine. From my understanding AMD certified all the new b450 and x470 for the 105 watt 2700x so it should handle the 65 watt 2600 fine.

If not use OC, should the VRM stay stable?

Absolutely, unless it is a bad board or bad board design, or quality control disaster. The problem is that a lot the ryzen boards are pretty god awful. I've worked with 6 boards for ryzen this past 12 months, and 3 of them failed either, DOA, became unstable, or just didn't work at all, and it didn;t matter if the board was Asus, Asrock, MSI or whatever.

oo i see. Before this ryzen version come out, All the amd processor have a lot of overheat problem and damage the motherboard. I scare if made a bad choice to pick amd as for gaming and programming.

I never owned AMD before ryzen, but my ryzen systems work great. I have 2 x370 and 1 b350. They have been running fine. They actually run cooler than my i7 6700k used to. I think the manufacturers do seem to make better Intel boards, but having more cores for less won me over.
