Hi guys,

A friend of mine was offering me his 1080ti GPU, but my spec is:

- i5 4690 (non-k)

- Dell U3014 (2650X 1600) locked to 60 fps

- Current GPU: R9 390

Not a fan of multiplayer games as I only play rpg games of offline RTS like Starcraft II.

My concern is, would I have an issue with like bottleneck?

I have no planning of going 144hz or 4k reso as color optimization or (like my Dell monitor) is much important than anything else due to my nature of work.

In your case the 4690 should be good enough. There will be bottlenecking in cpu intensive games with a 1080ti. However do you need to upgrade? That would be a better question.

Thanks for the tip. Not really planning to upgrade anytime soon though as my rig is still doing good for things I need (even for playing). It's just that my friend's offer is such a good deal to miss out, and I may be able to count that as as an upgrade eventually or slowly.

If it's a really good price then why not? R9 390's do still sell for a decent price so that might also be worth looking in to.
