8GB Ram is installed but only 3.96 Usable?

- so ive installed 2 ram sticks in my system. both of them are 4 gb ddr3 1333mhz.
windows and bios both detects only 4 gb of ram.
- both of the ram are of different brands.
- cpu-z is detecting both of them.
- In CPU-Z i noticed that some numbers in both of the ram are different like cas latency, etc.
- i tried msconfig thing from youtube buy its not working either..

my other specs.
Xeon X3460
MOBO - zotac itx h55 wifi.
rx 480 4gb.

please help me out.

I'm not a fan of mixing and matching rams in any platform. Zotac's boards are notorious for dying if subjected to having 1.65 volts or more from the ram. You should set the voltage to 1.5v as the max. Are you on the latest BIOS on your motherboard?

And one more thing if you see in task manager screenshot
Itshow saying that 4 gb is hardware reserved

What version of Windows are you using? A 32 bit version will only allow 4Gb to be addressed, to use more than 4Gb you'll need to have the 64 bit version installed.

Try adjust timings manually in bios with the values listed in #4 jedec table.

Command rate should further down the list. 1T or 2T. Try both.

Try disabling Memory Remap Feature in BIOS.

Aahh well, you tried. The two sticks are just being uncooperative.

Maybe switch them around.

If still no it's bad luck. Mixing ram isn't guruanteed.

Memory is guaranteed in the form sold. Other combinations you choose to make have no guarantee to be compatible together.
