So it seems like my DVI connection is ruined on my graphics card, i connect it and it wont display my monitor, sometimes it just works till boot and when windows comes on it says no signal, while connecting my 2nd monitor which is like a TV 32inch to the HDMI connection on my GPU it works just fine, so i basically cant use my DVI connection on the GPU, so i tried connecting my TV to the GPU and the main monitor to the motherboard but it doesnt seem to work in some games.

while playing PUBG i got smooth 100fps gameplay while playing ark survival evolved i didnt even get 5 fps, so for some games it does use my GPU and for some it uses the intel integrated graphics...

how can i make ARK use my GPU and not the intel one?

also by what i described do you guys think i need to go fix my GPU then?, i wont be able to go fix it yet thats why im asking how can i choose to use my GPU for games that dont use it.?

My RIG : I7-7700K, GTX 1060, 16GB RAM.

Solution
on your gpu make sure it locked it and try using ddu in safe mode to clean up old drivers to see if it a driver issue. with the gpu they do make hdmi to dvi cables.

i fixed it by going to windows 10>settings>Display>Graphics settings and manually loading the game there and setting it to high performance which uses the GPU
