Hello everyone, I hope you are having a fantastic day!

Let's get to it. Eskettit.

I got two DDR3 ram 12800 for a Asus M5a97 evo 2.0.

When I stick the ram in, it shows me that I have 16gb available but 7.92 is usable?

- OS: Windows 10 Pro
- GPU: Gtx 750
- CPU: Amd fx 8300
- Motherboard: M5a97 evo 2.0
- Ram1: Kingston 8gb 2Rx8 -- 12800u -- 11 -- 11 --B1
- Ram2: Offtek S167 -- 240pin 8gb PC3 -- 12800 Non ECC

I tried multiple slots but nothing has worked yet. I'm losing hope.

Thanks for the help in advance and cheers!

Might well just be the mixing of ram,it is not always easy and might not work at all.You could try each on it's own ,see if one gives troubles anyway. My best guess would be the Offtek in that case, guess also that this is what you added. Maybe start with that stick and see how it goes,if booting fine add the G.Skill stick and test again.

If these sticks run at 1.5V at the moment could you add voltage to see if it helps with stability, can add 0.05V each time, but go no higher than 1.65V.Can also start with 1.65V if you want to be sure you give it all it might need. And no nothing dangerous this, the voltage of 1.65V is still very safe to use.
