Hello, thank you in advance for anybody who takes the time to help me out. My PC randomly stopped turning on yesterday! If it's important my PC consist of a i76700k, gtx 1080, evga supernova 750g2 gold, Asus Maximus hero 8 mobo, 16gb ddr4, a few ssds, 1 hdd, I forgot the air cooler some Corsair with a hose/fan. I first tried to replace the psu cable for best case, that didn't work. I then swapped my power reset and power cables from my case/mobo with no luck. I put the psu in a 10year old shitty best buy computer and the fan turned on, which it doesn't in my PC(I figured maybe mine might be too powerful if the psu is broke) The mobo lights turn on with the psu but the "start" button on it won't work. Im going to return my psu with the factory warranty. I guess my question is what are the odds it's the psu, mobo, or perhaps the wires from my case (Razer h440 case). Would the mobo lights light up if that was broken? Would the psu power on a low end PC and not mine? Could the case wires perhaps be broken?

Oh. I misread the post. So you get nothing at all when you try to power on?

If the PSU worked in another computer it should be okay. I'd go ahead and remove all components including the CPU. Then use new thermal paste reinstall CPU and cooler, ram, all power cables and try to power on.
