I am going to bet that is a regular rj45 keystone that you can get at any home improvement store these days.

There is a standard wire pattern..well 2 options... that you are suppose to follow. The wires should match a color pattern on the keystone. If he did something different then I don't know.

There is a special tool that is used to punch the wires back into the little metal connectors on the jack. Many of the DIY ones have a small plastic tool. Still if you are very careful a tiny screw driver can be used to carefully push the wire down. You could just buy a new jack that comes with the tool for about $5.00. Make sure it has the tool not all brands do.

I have no clue why there is tape on the wire. Properly done...

What I want to is bring the wire back through the wall into my room so I can re-connect the ethernet wire to his magic box and use it for my pc. The problem is that the wires wont fit through the hole in the wall unless i remove said magic box. I could remove it but I dont like fiddling with things I have zero knowledge of. So I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas of what I could do considering there are exposed wire plugged in there, I think he just rigged it up or something.

Well that's going to be a problem. When u say magic box, I hear, "I don't know what it is, and I don't want to deal with it." and nobody here is going to be able to look at it it from a few pictures and go, "a-ha, that's how you fix it."

If I was your friend, would want to come over with few of my testing tools, do a house walk-over, and try to understand the original intention, asking you tons of question blah-blah, but trying to do this with a few web posts? not gonna happen.

Here, can give you enough to untuck you from stuff YOU WANT to do, but is mostly on you, and if you are uncomfortable with it, not going any where.

I have no clue why there is tape on the wire. Properly done the plastic clip on top secures the end of the wire at the point you striped off the outside jacket.
