I am planning on ditching wifi and using powerlink adapters for gaming. I am planning on buying this one :https://www.bestbuy.com/site/netgear-powerline-ac1200-gigabit-ethernet-network-adapter-with-extra-power-outlet-2-pack-white/4320444.p?skuId=4320444. Will this work for me if the router is upstairs? Me and my neighbors are sharing wifi and I want to improve my connection to online games and since my PC is downstairs 1 floor below the router, wifi is not reliable anymore since my 5ghz network starts up fast but then after a minute it says no internet and 2.4ghz is unplayable.

The adapter is a good one. However, is this neighbor using the same internal circuit as you? If not, you likely wont be able to have the signal jump across the electrical panels. But it all depends on how the electrical system is laid out in your building.
