Hello, I've just bought a Dell Optiplex 7010 tower for $150 (price changed cause quantity).

Specs: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-OptiPlex-7010-Tower-Intel-Core-i7-3770-3-4-Ghz-8gb-500-Gb-win-10-Pro/232748553154

I'm planning on buying a gtx 1050 ti for this, is that a good idea?

Not a bad idea I would say.
A 3770 is still a fairly decent processor, especially a complete system for 150.

Just make sure you get one that does not take a 6 pin PCIe power cable, unless you want to replace the PSU as well.
