Newly built PC won’t boot windows 10 from USB

First PC ever built.

Have a motherboard: MSI X370 Gaming PRO carbon AM4 AMD X370

Processor: AMD Rayzen 7 2700x 8-core 3.7 GHz

Bought the Windows 10 home USB from a electronics store.

I finally put everything together, the lights turned on, got to MSI BIOS 5 and I set boot priority to UEFI USB KEY, reloaded and hit F11 to bring up the boot up options. Only two options (1) UEFI: KDI-MSFT Windows 10 PMAP, Partition 1. And (2) Enter setup (which just takes you back to BIOS)

So naturally I hit option (1) and the screen flashes to the MSI logo for a split second and then returns to the two option screen. I continue to hit option one again and again, restarting the PC, making sure secure boot is disabled. Nothing I have done works, I’m really regretting not buying a built desktop, because this whole ordeal has been a pain in the butt. I need help guys, I want to be excited and proud of my first build but this last hurdle is killing me.

@MLG_No_scope No i bought the USB stick with Windows 10 home edition from frys electronics. Thought it would be more legit and hassle free.

@SkyNetRising i couldn’t find an option to switch from UEFI to legacy mode, searched in advanced options and played around with options. Not sure if it’s just not supported.

@ MLG i did set the first drive as my USB in the BIOS. The BIOS is recognizing the priority list and has the USB windows 10 as an option in the boot up screen. The problem occurs when I actually select it. It flashes the MSI logo for a split second and then returns me to the option of booting with the USB. So it is registering it, just not opening the operating system setup.

From the options available, only UEFI was listed. i'll investigate further, but I'm fairly sure i checked everywhere i could under the boot option in MSI BIOS 5.

It was a hardware issue, i downloaded windows 10 onto my own USB. Rather than using the USB that was provided in the box i purchased from the electronics store. Thank you everyone for the help you provided, i truly appreciate the quick responses.
