Hi guys, my problem started yesterday when I was working and suddenly my pc restarted. as soon as it turned on, ethernet/wifi wasn't recognized.

I assumed that windows updates are the reason, because before restarting it (Ethernet )was working well

I tried the follwing:
*Restore the system
*Install the latest realtek ethernet and LAN drivers
*changing the Ethernet cable
*restarting the Router
*tried to type (ipconfig/all) at cmd, so that i can make sure that everything fine, this is what I've got:

Host name
Primary Dns suffix
Ip routing enabled
WINS proxy enabled

No other information appeared

*last but not least i tried to uninstall some of the updates that have been installed before restarting

Note: my operating system win7

Unfortunately, none of what I did worked, all my work now stuck

Could anyone please give me some help, I will really appreciate it

Thanks in advanced

Your post is not clear.

Are you using wired or wireless?

Only one or the other can be enabled on your system.

What "dongle" are you using: make & model?

You mentioned changing the Ethernet cable - did you use a known working Ethernet cable? (Trusting that wireless is disabled.)

Is your work backed up and have you confirmed that the backups are accessible and working?

I mostly use wired, but I tried wireless when the problem appeared but none of the two worked.

the dongle I have is tplink model

And yes the Ethernet cable used is a known working one and wireless is disabled

I do have backups, and they working, now am using my phone to continue my work

Have you tried ipconfig /flushdns on your computer?

Is your computer directly connected to the router or are there interim wall jacks, powerline adapters, switches?

Who has administrative rights to the router?

Take a look at the router's logs if available and enabled. The logs may have captured some error or connectivity issues.
