first of all my specs: (gaming laptop acer aspire vn7-592 nitro)
-gtx 960m 4gb
-intel core i7 6700hq
-16gb RAM
-500gb hard disk
(-windows 10)

So i bought this expensive gaming laptop about 1.5 years ago (~1500$) and since then i have been having massive problems with my frames per second (FPS) in any given game. I has gotten better since i bought a laptop cooling pad and cleaned out the inside of my laptop with compressed air since i thought that it was overheating, but i still get about half of the number of fps as most other people with the same specs (source: extended research on the internet and comparing to my friends pcs). On games like ac origins for example, i get about half the normal fps as somone else with the same specs, about 20 in stead of 40 on lowest settings, making the game almost unplayble… I analysed my pc with UsersBenchmark and this might help: http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/10669031
I am thinking of going to a pc repair shop to see what is wrong with my laptop but I wanted to ask you guys for your opinions and help first.
Thanks in advance, LD

Yes, I play with my laptop plugged in at all times, and I have updated all of my graphics drivers, installed nvidia GeForce experience, and even totally reset my pc, as I thought it may be because of a virus... I think that what is most likely is that my laptop is overheating but what could I do about it? Replace thermal paste?
