I was playing Rust earlier today when my both my monitors (which are both hooked up to my GPU) went black. I have recently upgraded my CPU and Motherboard and I had to replace my PSU since it had died recently. I used to have one monitor plugged into my GPU and another plugged into my Mobo (using integrated graphics) but since my new CPU doesn't have integrated graphics I just plugged them both into my GPU.

Personally I feel like it was just my Graphics card's time to go, but I would like others' opinions.

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600
GPU: GTX 760
RAM: Crucial Ballistix DDR4 16gb
PSU: EVGA 500B
MOBO: PCMATE B350

Edit: I should also say that the computer sounds like it boots fine, but I can't know for sure since I don't have video.

Same happened to me yesterday on an old Xeon machine (so no onboard graphics).

I agree that often it is the gpu breaking but there are plenty of other possible reasons too.

First try another gpu in the same machine. If it works, good chance the old one is broken. Try the old one in another PC that you know works, if it doesn't work, it's confirmed.

If the gpu works in another machine, check all the other components one by one. Bad RAM, PSUs, motherboards, hard drives etc can all cause no image to appear when you turn it on. As can software issues.

In my case, I suspect that it's a soft 15khz issue...

Unfortunately Windows 10 doesn't have the fantastical startup sound of the previous versions, but after my displays went out I think I could still hear sound effects in game as if everything was normal.
