I am going to build a new pc amd was wondering how much i would be able to push the I5 8600k without touching the voltage. I have never overclocked before, nor have i ever had a gaming pc before.

I am going to be using these parts for my build:

Intel Core I5 8600k

Cryorig h7 - CPU cooler

Noctua NT H1 - cooling paste

NZXT H500 (comes included with two fans, i am also going to add two 140mm fans as well)

MSI Z370-A Pro

Corsair TX550M gold rated

Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000mhz 2x8gb

Palit Geforce gtx 1060 dual

Samsung 860 evo 500gb SSD

How well you can oc will depend on how good a chip you get.
to give you an idea:

as of 3/22/2018
What % of I5-8600k chips can oc
at a agressive vcore of 1.4 or so and delidded
4.9 96%
5.0 85%
5.1 66%
5.2 38%
5.3 13%

You will get nowhere near this if you do not let the vcore to rise along with the multiplier.
My suggestion is to leave the voltages on auto.
Gradually raise the all core multiplier and stress test.
Monitor the vcore with cpu-Z and stop when you are no longer comfortable.
I might suggest 1.3v, certainly no more than 1.4v.
Keep track of your temperatures; 85c max on a stress test.
