Specs:
I7-7700
Pny Gtx 1060 6gb
Vengance 16gb ddr4 @2444 Mhz
ASUS z-170a
144hz monitor

I built the pc with my friend but I don’t know how to optimize the bios. My cpu is running at 4.1ghz since turbo mode is enabled.
While playing fortnite while in busy areas my frames drops to 70 while in fights. Im playing on lowest settings and 1440x1080 res. I want to play competivly but it feels like my lag limits me. Id be thankful for some advice. (Havent changed anything in the bios)

Messing around in the BIOS isn't going to do anything for you. First make sure you have all the chipset and GPU drivers installed. Second monitor the CPU and GPU usage while gaming along with thermals of both.

Another thing would be to check that you have the latest BIOS for the Z170 board since you have a 7700 in it.

Gpu usage is around 30% while experiencing no "unsmoothness"/fps drops and when dropping frames to like 70 the usage is only at 40-45%. In both states, the gpu temp is at around 70c. Gpu fans are spinning at about 900 rpm. The cpu temps are about 60c when having no drops AND while having drops Cpu usage is around 30-45% while having no drops and on 45-50% while having drops. The bios is version 3802 which i manually updated while installing the pc. The gpu usage seems to drop while experiencing drops which i find weird,
