RAM Not Working

hi i have recently just built a new system but am using my old memory sticks i have checked to see if they are the same DDR and they are as the board is DDR4 and the old sticks are DDR4 when i put a different stick of ram in the same slot the RAM is detected but i know that the other stick is working

BTW, if you are installing 2GB memory modules, those are likely NOT DDR4. Most DDR4 is 4GB or higher, in capacity. Also, you cannot use older DDRx memory in DDR4 motherboards.

I have recent purchased a ASRock Intel Z370 Pro motherboard and installed 2 lots of 2 GB of ram onto it but they are not working.
