Having trouble with a raid one

Recently purchased two terabyte drives, and I'm having issues setting them up in a raid one configuration.

I've got both drives installed and showing up correctly in the file viewer, but aren't copying files over correctly.

Any ideas?

Does not necessary need to be hardware raid. You can do software raid also.

That's not how a RAID 1 works.
You and the OS see only 1 drive. And it doesn't "copy" like that.

How did you set this up?
What motherboard do you have?

Most importantly...why a RAID 1?
