Intel(R) Core™ i7-8700K not detected / fail on MSI Z370 motherboard after pc cut out in use.
I have reseated the processor, checked that all the pins were good, reset CMOS and have reseated all other components in the pc and nothing has changed

Solution
First, try to clear the CMOS, reboot the PC to see it can boot or not.

If it does not boot after you clear the CMOS, take the cpu out to see there is any burnmark on it or not, also check the MB carefully too, because like the power was cut out when the PC is on, sometime it will cause the problem, like kill one or more pc components. If you use SSD for the boot device, it will cause of file system corruption too.

The main issues that could cause this are a bad cpu mount to the socket or an issue in your power delivery(a loose cpu power connector). If neither of those work as solutions, then it is possible your motherboard or cpu has been fried.
