Hello, i'm a complete noob about OC but i wanted to OC my GPU (zotac gtx 1080 amp extreme), so today i started watching some videos for beginners on youtube and i came up with Jayztwocents.
This is his video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUEMS-B1Siw&index=4&t=650s&list=LLBXPUL0wdufXdJl2NfP5peg

I did all the starting steps, so i downloaded MSI afterburner, and i ran the first Valley Benchmark. Then i put all the Power Limit and the Temperature Limit at max and raised the Core Clock by 100MHz. Then i started the benchmark but Valley crashed instantly. At the end i came up that the max Clock my GPU support is 40MHz+. If i put more that that Valley Crash instantly. Is my GPU strange or what? I watched other videos about OC and everyone could put more than 200MHz easily.
Am i doing something wrong? There are some "secret" settings on BIOS to check?

Thanks for the help
(and sorry for my bad english)

Zotac AMP is already factory OC'd + on the peak power consumption limit, you need to figure out its power target first without increasing GPU/memory speed, the best practice would be EKWB full cover GPU waterblock custom liquid cooling.
