Hi.
The cooling head of the M22 is made out of copper. The radiator is made out of aluminium.
So it is safe to use.
Question is however why you wanna use LM in the firstplace over regular thermal grease.
The 2700X uses solder and not thermal grease like Intel so there is no benefit from a delid. And using LM between the waterblock and the IHS will gain you maybe 1 - 3 degree celcius.

So to be honest mate. I would just go with regular paste like Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut.

Now "IHS" means: Integrated Heat Spreader and that is the metal part on the CPU that makes contact with the cooler you have.
When it comes to the Kryonaut vs LM the difference is so small that there is really no reason to do it. You will not be able to overclock any higher and the temps will be in the same area + - 1-3 degree celcius.
Now if there is any difference between the Kryonaut and the thermal grease that comes pre-applyed on the M22 I am not really sure. There might be some but not so mutch that I would swap it out.
Use the system as is if I where you. It will perform well within spec.

The thermals are inferior to the stock cooler provided with the 2700X (40-45 Idle as opposed to 35C using the Wraith Prism).
It's probably because I picked the least efficient Kraken cooler, which was due to aesthetic reasons.
I do have a few bucks to spend though so I just purchased the Kryonaut.
Although now I just realised that at this point I probably should have tried my chances in getting a better static pressure fan for the cooler. Could also get quiter results.

A simple rule to follow when it comes to all the AIO`s out there. Does not matter what kind of brand. All fans that came with it are most likely poor to average at best when it comes to performance / sound.
And the M22 is a simple 120mm rad so.. compared to high end regular air coolers they will perform better to be honest.
