Is my PSU dead?

Hello community,

I'm a totally new PC builder, and just got done installing and wiring components together. I've connected the power supply to power (and turned the switch on the PSU on) and attempted to start my computer via the front panel power button and... nothing. No lights, fans, or noises on the power supply or otherwise.

Even assuming I wired something incorrectly, shouldn't I at least be getting something to the power supply to cause it to start?

The power strip its plugged into is working: my monitors are plugged in there with no issues (and all the strip outlets have been tested.)

What should I try next to get more information on my problem?

Thanks for your help.

Solution
Take you new build apart, put your mobo on card box, connect psu (24 pin atx + additional eps usualy at top right corner of your mobo. )
Dont use cpu, gpu, ram, etc...
connect cpu fan (without cpu) to mobo
Try to start it with shorting out power switch pins on mobo
If that fan wont spin, either your mobo or psu is dead.
If it spins, put your cpu inside socket and put fan on it, start it, if no fan, cpu is dead....
if fan still works , then keep adding additonal hardware one by one, until it stops working
replace whats not working

Yup, the 'Power SW' cable from the front panel is connected to the 'Power Switch' pin on the mobo, which seems to be the only reasonable configuration.
