Hello,

My Arris SVG2482AC giving only 2 bars. The internet is pretty fast but it’s still bugging me that no matter where I put device it’s still showing 2 bars. Can someone please help me with this?

The bars mean nothing. The end device can represent the signal levels any way it chooses. Apple got caught doing this because they made their application display the signal level as more bars than other devices so it appears they have better wifi when the signal level are exactly the same just displayed differently.

In most cases device have some way to display the DB level of the signals they are detecting. This will be a much better indicator.

Still signal level/strength is only 1 measure. What is much more important is the signal quality...ie how many errors you get. A very weak signal with no errors or interference will be better than a very strong signal that also have a very strong signal competing from a neighbors wifi.
