hi everyone, I have a quick question. should I set my ddr4 3000mhz 32gb of ram to command rate 1 or 2? right now xmp has it at 1t but its only stable to 2666mhz. I cant get stable at 2933 mhz. so should I set xmp back to 2933mhz and change the command rate to 2t? my cpu is a ryzen 5 1600 motherboard is a asrock fatal1ty gaming k4 ab350 board. ram is xpg spectrix d40 3000mhz ram. my cpu is overclocked to 3950mhz 1.38 volts. stable.

Solution
your issue is having 4 sticks of ram with ryzen
i have ryzen too, mine ram can go 3466 in a2/b2 slots, while 2800+ is unstable as **** in a1/b1 slots
and since u cant use different odt/rtt/cadbus for each channel, theres nothing u can do about it
If you have Gear Down mode enabled, then it doesn't matter what the command rate is. Gear Down (in simple words) takes over the command rate and does it's own thing, making the command rate setting irrelevant when gear down mode is enabled.

Gear Down Mode is very similar to 2T mode when it comes to performance. So I doubt it'll fix all your problems, but disabling it and switching to 2T mode is worth a shot.

Is your CPU fully stable, like FULLY stable?? (Meaning a 8-12 hour stress test of prime95 or Realbench or AIDA64) If not, then that's your problem.

Also, are you running 2 sticks or 4 sticks of RAM? 4 sticks is a LOT harder for Ryzen to handle when it comes to higher speeds.

Try increasing your SOC voltage to around 1.8-1.9v and see if that helps aswell.
