This just happened and I’m very angry and frusturated, long story short it (i7-8700k) fell out of the plastic casing upon opening it onto the floor which caused this - https://imgur.com/gallery/1GoKcX1

Is there anything other than buying a new one, repairing of any sort? It obviously won’t be covered by warranty because it was my fault but i really don’t want to spend another $359 if I don’t absolutely have to.

Solution
if you got it off amazon as new..try speaking with there customer support rep. they may give you a one time rma if you let them know how it was damaged..the same for intel customer support.
Hehe, I always open stuff like this low, over soft material. I learned that with certain items it's best to think 'What if I dropped this?' when considering where to work on it. I agree with the others, first contact the seller and Intel, the worst that happens is they say "It sucks to be you". Then try it anyways if you're stuck with it.
