Two system info pages do not match

Hi! I was checking my laptop's RAM and realized that the installed memory info under Control Panel does not match the Performance information and tools info. Under control panel, I see 12 gb RAM installed and under Performance info I see 8 GB. Windows is 7 with 32 bit, Do you have any idea why those two do not match? Thanks a bunch!

Yes I know. But my question is about installed memory. The installed memory in two different system info pages do not match. In Control Panel>system is says 12 gb RAM and in other system info settings and even BIOS menu it says 4 gb+4 gb in two slots. If my total installed memory is 8 gb according to BIOS menu and performance info menu, why does system info page say that it is 12 gb?
