Wait till 2080s drop?

Hello, so I want to build a new PC. I have a thread with stuff in it but not really relevant to this.

Does anyone know if the 1080s will drop in price significant enough to wait till the 2080s get released?

Same goes with i7.. I want to grab a i7-8700k but should I wait till the i9s drop in october?

I realize the prices will drop but will they drop enough to wait? The other option is to wait till black friday.. what do you guys think?

I will most likely buy the parts and build myself even tho their pretty much the same price to just buy a pre built one.. I just like to see all the parts and build it myself...

What do you guys think?

Awesome answers, honestly what I was looking for. Would Black Friday be worth it? I'm not in a hurry to build a new PC I just have that impulsive want to do it now feeling... lol

The supply and demand for it. More people want the 3 fan model with a larger cooler.
