Ok, everytime i ask someone, they tell me something different. I thought it didn't exist, but then someone just told me online that it did, saying "of course it does, how else would there be 128 GB kits" which tbh I didn't even know existed. But anyway, do 16 GB RAM sticks exist? And if they do, link me one in ddr3, cause I need to upgrade, but can't if they don't cause my mobo only has 2 RAM slots.

You will not get DD3 memory in this capacity outside of server grade ECC memory.

You need to look at what your motherboard can support. Most consumer motherboards (until recently) could only support 4x8GB.
Newer models can now take 4x16GB (but this is DDr4).

What is your motherboard, you are most likely restricted to 2x8GB for a total of 16GB.

If you want more memory, you will need to upgrade your motherboard.

I was about to point that out too.

Easy to tell from looking at the DIMM: it has 18x DRAM packages + 1x buffer chip in the middle. AFAIK, those are not supported even on LGA11xx Xeons on the Intel side, got to step up to LGA20xx.

Is your system the one listed in your profile, because according to that you have DDR4 RAM...

Also, what software/games are you looking to upgrade your RAM to get more performance in? It's possible that you might benefit more from upgrading some other component instead.

And unless you are using specific software that can make use of more than 16GB (such as some video editing software, for example) you are probably not going to benefit from having more than 16GB for a number of years. Also, not running RAM in a matched pair will tend to result in a bit less performance, so 2 sticks of 8GB will likely perform better for you than 1 stick of 16GB and 1 stick of 4GB.

For gaming, I would expect a graphics card upgrade would do a lot more for your performance than a RAM upgrade. Most games don't benefit much from having more than 8GB of RAM still, but they do tend to to benefit a lot from having a faster graphics card.

No I don't have that build I didn't even know i had it on my profile i made that list more than 2 years ago...

But what I do have is an i5 2400, a gtx 1050 ti, and my mobo is a MSI H61M-P23. I want the RAM specifically so I can get better performance in PUBG, and so I can play CoD: Blackout, which I think I might be able to, but it won't be stable cause the minimum is 8 GB. All my other games run completely smoothly with 8.

The reason I want to know btw is because one of my RAM slots has done some funky things in the past, and at this point I'm not even sure if it works, I guess I'll test it and if it does just by another 1x8 but if it doesn't and since you guys are saying 1x16 doesn't exist, I guess I'm just out of luck until I make a new build.
