Will a Corsair H100i V2 be good for overclocking?

Current system:
i5 4460
GTX 1070
MSI B85-G43 Gaming Motherboard
16GB DDR3 RAM
Corsair CX600M PSU

Ok, so basically I want a better CPU for better game performance, video editing etc etc...
So I'm now trying to hunt an i7 4790k on Marktplaats (Dutch Craigslist). But now I stumbled upon a new H100i V2 on that site for 90 euros with shipping. It's in foil and everything so it seems new. I know nothing about overclocking but I know that I will try it sometime when I get the new CPU. Now here comes the question. It the watercooler worth the price for the performance? I also heard some people say that you can't OC with a B85-G43 (Why is it even called "Gaming" then) so if someone recommends a good motherboard for overclocking that would be amazing.

The gaming in the model name of a motherboard is marketing and has nothing to do with a boards overclocking capabilities. The B85 boards were not designed for overclocking. For that generation the Z87 and Z97 were the overclocking boards. You'll also want to look into getting a better PSU as that CX600m isn't likely going to last long in an overclocking environment, they had longevity issues in in stock systems due to poor quality components and a low temp threshold.

Can you recommend a good price/performace motherboard/PSU? I live in The Netherlands so it has to be able to be shipped there. Thank you in advance.

Ok thank you

Honestly, I'm not sure I would bother with such an extensive upgrade of relatively older hardware. By the time you pick up a 4790K, a Z-series motherboard and a water cooler for overclocking, you will likely have spent a similar amount as you would have on new current-generation hardware offering a similar level of performance without overclocking. And of course you would get fresh warranties with everything.

The current 6-core i5s at stock settings are very competitive with overclocked i7s from that generation. Even on its stock cooler, an i5-8600 will likely perform about the same as that overclocked i7-4790K on a water cooler, and an 8600K would be even faster, though you would need a capable cooler for it. You would need new DDR4 RAM though, but could get away with a less-expensive motherboard without overclocking features, so the resulting price probably wouldn't be too different.

As another option, get the 4790K, but simply don't bother overclocking. It doesn't really have that much overclocking headroom anyway, as it was already pushing that generation's architecture near its limits even at stock. You'll only likely be able to get around 10% more CPU performance out of the 4790K by overclocking it, which may arguably not be worth the hundreds of dollars more it will cost for a capable cooler and motherboard.

What resolution and refresh rate are you gaming at? If you're running games at 1440p or above, the graphics card will likely limit performance more than anything in recent titles, and if you only have a 60Hz screen, it will only update the image 60 times per second anyway, minimizing the benefits of an overclock for gaming.

This is my exact problem. It seems like just buying almost everything new is better than just upgrading on this old board. But I'm still stuck with DDR3 RAM so I don't know what to do.

I have a 1440p 144hz monitor.
I play games @1440p like CS:GO, Battlefield 4, Assasins creed origins, GTA V etc. Just a bit of everything.
For example, assasins creed runs at 40fps 1440p so it would be great if I could play it at 60fps or higher.
EDIT: Changing the preset to lower than ULTRA doesn't give enough fps to be worth it.
