System is not seeing SSD

I have a Windows 10 desktop that I built. I was using a Sandisk Ultra Plus for my main drive (now out of warranty). After some inadequate power, the harddrive basically failed in the system. I bought a new drive, and, after some persistence, was able to access most of the files on the old Sandisk. But I would get regular errors when accessing the files.

Then I decided to wipe it and use the disk as an extra drive. I went to diskpart in cmd, and tried formatting it. It got stuck at 36%. I decided to abort. I'm not sure how I did it, but it didn't go well.

Now, the system recognizes the drive as a disk (only as SATA connected to the system, not through a USB Sata adaptor), but it shows as "Not Initialized." When I try to initialize it as MBR, I get an error: "The system cannot fine the file specified."

I'm able to clean it in diskpart, but I can't format it. I'm beginning to think that this is a hopeless endeavor, and that the harddrive is shot. But I wonder, does anyone have any ideas of what else I can do? I am having issues even using the Sandisk software in UEFI mode.

If you need more info, I can give it. I tried to remember everything important.
