I am looking at buying the Aorus Gtx 1080 ti Xtreme Edition 11gb for my Aorus Gaming 7 motherboard but I have read many things saying that this GPU has a lip that makes it where it does not fit in the mobo's first PCIe slot, what I'm wanting to know is if Gigabyte has fixed this issue or not. If they have not fixed this is there any way to put it in without taking the mobo out of my pc?
Here is a picture of what people say is the lip: https://imgur.com/a/NaC2V

What you see is perfectly normal for nearly all GPUs. The only reason one of these won't fit properly would be due to a bent bracket or an improperly mounted motherboard (like using the wrong/missing stand-offs) where the GPU appears to not get fully inserted into the case's mounting position. Also cases with only a single slot config/space will be unable to use a GPU like this one.

i'm not sure if you understand the card has this lip that no other card has that blocks it from fitting in all the way.
