Computer monitor and fps? dvi or hdmi help please

Okay okay please help me i have a acer monitor 1080p 75hz it only has vga in and hdmi. i have a gtx 1070ti showing 200fps in game and ik hdmi only is 60fps on a monitor/ so what cable do i get to see the 75hz? i would just go and buy a vga or display port cable? but my monitor only has vga and hdmi??? please help i cant find answers anywere? thanks

There's 3 possible things here.

1. Check the HDMI version. You should get a 2.0 and not 1.4 version.

2. It could be the settings on the monitor itself. Find the buttons below or behind the monitor and go into settings. Activate 75Hz or some monitors require you go into Game Mode or maybe even turn something off to activate it.

3. It could be from Windows. Update your Graphic Cards drivers and fidle around on Windows contol panel.
