Is my CPU running this hot normal?

I have an intel i7 7700k processor running at 4.50GHz with a Corsair H100i cooler. This image is showing HWMonitor while stress testing with Prime95.

Is this running too hot? I reapplied thermal paste earlier today to see if that would help but it runs around the same temps.
Also if I launch HWMonitor on startup it usually peaks at 98C.

Your stress test numbers seem high.

What is your idle temperature?
You should see 10-15c. over ambient if your cooler is properly mounted and working.

What is your case and fan arrangement?
Liquid cooling is really air cooling.
The radiator needs a good supply of fresh air to do it's job.

40-50c is idle
I've had this cooler for a while and had not had problems until recently. The top(h100i fans) and front fans blow in and the back fan blows out.
According to the corsair software the pump is working fine and so are the fans. I checked the mounting and it seems to be good.
Anything else I could do?
