low fps with 1080 ti after switching to windows 10 from 8.1

I posted earlier about having issues with a new 1080 Ti with low fps(95-105 on ultra BF1). I did a clean install of my windows 8.1 and tweaked my cpu overclock and power setting. Interstingly the fps went up to 115-130 fps on ultra BF1. I thought i fixed my issue! I however did not want to be stuck on the old 8.1 and upgraded to windows 10 and did all the necessary changes only to now get a 95-100 fps on the same game. Can anyone shed some insight as to why this is happening?

i got a sneaky feeling has somthing to do with your cpu, and or recent meltown spectre mitagations. i like windows 10 have more then enough horse power to use it but just seems background heavy and data heavy

Check that resolution scale is not set to above 100% , if you used Nvidia to optimize the game sometimes it will set that to 125 - 150% as well as set the AA on ultra. This will cost you FPS. Either set resolution scale to 100% and have AA on high or TAA or you can turn off AA and have resolution scale to 125%, make sure your monitor refresh rate is set correctly to your setup and turn on G-Sync if it has it.

I play with dx11. At the moment I am getting 93 fps. Which is insanely low considering my 1070 hit these numbers before i upgraded.

I was getting higher fps with 8.1 how would windows 10 cause such a lower fps and how would those intel isues affect my amd cpu?

cpu is around 50% and gpu @ around 75%. i just reset all cpu and gpu overclocking and now get 75-90 fps on ultra. honestly it makes no sense for a ti to be performing that way.

so i tryied with ultra details, windowed fullscreen...some random map with 60~70 fps when looking around, cpu usage 50%, gpu usage 99%
switched to windowed mode and made game window super small, cpu usage remained 50%, gpu usage droped to 70%~80% fps went 120~170fps

cpu is oc 4.1ghz all cores, ram at 3333 cl14

can you post your usebenchmark score?

update: cpu on stock frequency, and ram too
100~130fps, same map
