I have purchased a motherboard from Cyberbyte.co, but my order doesnt seem to be progressing, has anyone used this shop before or heard of it?

ah okay, I have dropped them an email yesterday and tried to call today, their number phone number goes straight to a out of hours message service.

I hope so, this is the only place in the uk selling the mobo i am after;

Asus H97m-e

or any 97 chipset board with m.2 support for a reasonable price

i have everything crossed at the minute

Hi

I would never trust a website shop which does not show its address
even if it has an address, the address should be researched to see if it is a virual office or mail box company or accountant or a real shop or warehouse

An whois lookup shows a connection to Canada
the web site has existed since 2017 (I would expect a scam website to have been taken down by now)

the expected delivery times indicate overseas airmail delivery
and it has no terms & conditions or offer of 14 days change of mind which applies to all retail mail order transactions in the EC

I hope you paid by credit card as you then have protection for goods over £100 under UK legislation
(Consumer Credit Act 1974 section 75)

Hi Mike (if I may),

I had all of this in mind when initially looking at the shop, and owing to all of these facts I chose to take a punt and in fact make the purchase with my credit card in the event the shop was a sham.

Another concern of mine is that the shop doesn't seem to replenish stock? as the majority of items which are listed are "out of stock"

I am keen to get a response as i would like to contact my bank sooner if it is a false advertisement or a fake shop.

I will let you know as soon as i get a reply or the product (or in the event the shop is fake)

Hey Philip,

I also bought from this shop. They had a discontinued motherboard I've been looking for at a great price. I had (have?) the same worries as you. They told me they would post it the next day and give me the tracking number, but after two days I had nothing.

I found them via Gumtree actually and their posting led me to their site. After getting nothing back from email, I messaged them on Gumtree and like 2 hours later my package was posted with a real Royal Mail. tracking number and everything. Could be a brick haha but I doubt it.

I personally don't think it's a fake site, I think it's more likely a startup run by like one dude and maybe he's backed up on orders.
