Refunding Ram with damaged package

I'm going to ask a simple question with an example.

So i ordered new ram and found out it was not compatible with the current mobo in the pc (here is a link to the thread: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3787085/ram-working.html).
The reason was that it just was the wrong ram. okay, not problem.

The ram has already been used, still works, not damaged, but the package has been damaged at the level of opening. just the top ripped of, otherwise i couldn't open it, you know?

but will the store accept the ram with the damaged package? not the ram itself, the package.

Like said, some stores are willing to accept, some don't.
Why don't you ask them :)
You have to contact them or simply try to send the kit back since it is not the normal RMA stuff, if the packaging has been damage.
If you are lucky, perhaps they are friendly enough to accept the kit back :)

It depend on the store :D
The stores I went to in Germany? They all accept such RMA cases. I had that kind of problems several times already.
They usually even also provide help finding (usually trial and error) the compatible RAM kit too.
I dunno about the store, where you bought the kit tho'. :)
Such case is store dependent. some stores will accept some don't.

It is an Online shopping store, located in the Netherlands, very close where i live even :D

Look at it this way, none of us know and you don't know.
So unless you send it back and tell them, how will anyone know? Don't be scared of sending it back, then you will know the answer.
