Recover encrypted external hard drive with physical damage

I have an external usb hard drive, full disk encrypted with Veracrypt. I accidentally dropped it, and it suffered physical damage.

I'm consulting with a data recovery company, and they offer me to recover the data to a new hard drive (the old one is very damaged).

I know my password, and I have the software to decrypt (Veracrypt). But, will I be able to decrypt my encrypted volume using my password, even if the hard drive is a new one?

Any help is very appreciated. Thank you!

No way to really know.

Even if the recovery process gets some or most of the data off, the encryption information may have been damaged and thus negates having the password.

Read the fine print with respect to the recovery company's warranties or service contract.

Likely that there is a clause addressing recovery of encrpted data. Password or not.

I'd be very surprised if they can recover the entire encrypted volume as one contiguous chunk, as it was pre-droppage.

And unless they can, VeraCrypt and the decryption will not work. It may decrypt, but it will be corrupt data.

All you (and they) can do is try.
