Trying to upgrade GPU currently have Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB custom overclock bios plays mostly all current games 1080p max out 60fps trying to upgrade GPU to 2070 but I don’t want to pay premium if Ray-Tracing flops then Nvidia pushes out 3k series. Either way I’ll be playing games at 4K or 1440p need advice.

DDR 3 16GB 2400
Maximus VII 3201 bios
PSU 860 watt
Windows 10 Home
850 evo 500 gb
My specs enough for GTX 2080? Or even 2080 Ti?

Agreed with terry. I bought a GTX 1080 for 1080p 144hz gaming and it has not disappointed me. the RTX 2070 wont have the RT power to really be useable and correlating by the RTX 2080 review, the 2070 will perform about the same as the 1080 but cost more
