I recently attempted to install windows 7 from an ISO onto a 1TB hard drive as I require it to run software that does not function on windows 10, I installed windows 7 onto it via the Hasleo WintoUSB tool however when attempting to boot into the drive the windows 7 startup screen shows for a short time then a blue screen occurs with the error code

STOP: 0x0000007B (0xFFFFF880009A97E8, 0xFFFFFFFFC0000034, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000)

I then installed Windows 10 to the same Hard Drive also using the WintoUSB tool and it booted into Windows 10 without issue.
I assumed that this may be a problem with the instillation ISO I had for Windows 7

I then purchased an old refurbished PC with Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit installed and removed it's hard drive and slotted it into my drive dock but upon booting into it the windows 7 startup screen shows for about a second before flashing a blue screen momentarily and then restarting before I have a chance to read the error code on the blue screen.

No virtual box can run 64 windows. If that is the case then google how to enable Hyper-V and install windows on windows 10.

Also yea it will not boot on USB. You would have to slip stream the drivers in which are a pain. You are better off running virtual. Besides you won't even have a lot of driver support if you run windows 7 on the PC even though USB.
what USB are you booting off of. If it is a USB it won't work. Boot form a USB 2.0 slot but if it is a 6th gen or newer the 2.0 is is controlled by the usb 3.0 so out of luck there. The thing is it can be done but honestly could be difficult to get to work. You would be better off install virual box or enabling Hyper-V, either one but not both, and install windows 7 there and run it virutually

It is being done via a USB 3.0 slot, my PC only has 2 USB 2.0 slots on the top panel and by 6th Gen I assume you mean CPU. My CPU is the i7-7700K 7th Gen.

I tried installing Virtual Box but it only has the option for Windows 7 32-Bit and I require 64-Bit.
