I have 1SSD(Internal), 1 HDD(internal), and 1 Dock-HDD(USB 3.0)
SSD(Windows 10)+HDD(Windows 7) are connected via SATA
Dock-HDD(Windows 10) is connected via USB 3.0 and is always used seperately (Not connected together with the other 2 drives)

Here is the issue:
By DEFAULT, i start my PC with SSD+HDD dual boot, i can select which windows to boot(10 or 7) at the boot screen. I use my Dock-HDD SEPERATELY, which means i will ALWAYS UNPLUG SSD+HDD from SATA (For personal reasons) before i plug in my Dock-HDD to USB, it starts normally. BUT here's the problem:

When i try to plug back my SSD+HDD via SATA after unplugging the Dock-HDD(USB), my PC won't boot properly, it keeps saying 'Reboot and select proper Boot Device' even though i selected to boot from SSD at the boot menu. I found the solution to it but i don't understand WHY. What i did is:

Why do i need to go to UEFI Hardisk drive BBS priorities to select Windows Boot manager instead of just selecting my SSD as Boot priority #1? Note that the boot manager thingy won't come out unless i go into that "UEFI Hard Disk Drive BBS priorities" option. Took me an hour to figure this out, i thought my cables were spoilt =/

Solution
Because your windows is installed in UEFI mode.
Windows Boot Manager is just a fancy name for UEFI boot entry. If your windows was installed in legacy mode, then you could boot from "Hard Disk Drive BBS Priorities" list and select your SSD.
