I'm planning on finally replacing my ~7 year-old Intel 2600K system (oc'ed to 4.6 ghz) before the end of the year. It's gone through 3 video cards (currently has an oc'ed GTX 1070), and I'm thinking I want to retire it before getting a new GeForce 20 Series.

In short, I'm having trouble finding the ultimate case. My current case is the Coolermaster HAF X (http://www.coolermaster.com/case/full-tower/haf-x/)

I'm trying to find a case that case the following features:

1) Is a full tower
2) Supports EATX motherboards
3) Has a front USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type C port
4) Has a side fan to cool the GPU
5) Has at least 1 5.25" drive bay

Strangely, it seems case designs in the last few years have moved away from side fans that help to cool the GPU. I definitely find this disappointing, as I've seen articles in the past showing that the side fans help to massively lower the GPU temperature.

Does anyone know of a case that fits all my criteria?

Thanks!

Do you mean the forum there? The actual tool is rather lackluster for cases, and unfortunately doesn't even segment for USB 3.1 Type C ports, much less cases with a side fan.

Well that's too bad. You'll have a hard time finding a case that fits all your criteria + USB C on the case itself. You should consider accepting the fact you'll probably have to plug it into your Motherboard.

The closest I know to what you're looking for that I know of is the Corsair Carbide 500R but it doesn't have USB C.

Thanks anyway for your help. What I basically want is a newer version of my old case linked above (with USB 3.1 Type C) that's not EXACTLY the same (just so it feels like a different system).

On a side note, it's sad that in over 7 years case airflow, particularly for GPU cooling, hasn't improved. So much of case design has gone into RGB lights and tempered glass, and has given up on things like side fans (which is bad great for over-clocking). Here's a re-review of my current case (the HAF-X) from a few months back: https://www.gamersnexus.net/hwreviews/3256-revisit-cooler-master-haf-x-2018-review

In that article the HAF-X still takes top marks for GPU cooling, and is in second place for CPU cooling.
