Hi, I got a new nbn router which has an optional 5ghz wireless band. My iptv box doesnt work on this router anymore and cant get internet connection but works well on my old router which is not dual band (2.4ghz only). My iptv is connecting through ethernet cable. Why i cant use this dual band router on my iptv. Does dual band router has something to do with the ethernet connection?

The wifi radios have no impact on your ability to use ethernet connections. I would guess there is some issue with IP addresses. Maybe the IPTV is using the old address and the new router does not like it.

I would verify that you can use a PC on the ethernet cable.

My iptv box connection is using dhcp both for my old 2.4ghz and dual band modem but its buffering when connected to dual band modem like every 5 mins. Im guessing that it could be theres a difference on lan data transfer rate between 2.4ghz modem only and dual band and my iptv box cant handle the one from dual band modem.
