I have a raspberry pi 3 that I want to use as an outdoor time lapse camera. I am thinking of using a floodlight housing as a case, since it is weather resistant, small but just big enough, and it has an adjustable stand. But my main concern is it being too hot.
I live in Arizona, and even though it is fall, it still can get a bit hot outside.
should it be fine in there? should I cover up the reflective coating on the inside? would I need a fan? I have a for the pi, but I would like to keep power consumption at a minimum. the pi does have heatsinks.
What can I do to make sure I dont ruin my raspberry pi, this is my first project. Thanks!
