Is it safe to buy used GPUS from Ebay?

Solution
ebay protects buyers more than sellers.
Use due diligence.
Know your prices.
Check completed auctions to see what a similar item actually sold for.
Bypass anything that looks too good to be true.
Buy used from a individual seller with good feedback.
Pay only with paypal.
Read the description carefully.
If the item sold turns out to not be as advertised, request a return.
Ebay will hold your payment in escrow until all is resolved.

I have bought used everything (save PSU's) used at one point or another. Whether parts I needed could no longer be found in retail or cash was tight like when I rebuilt a rig that literally blew up. Even though it popped and smoked I was able to salvage it with used parts for my wife's gaming rig. Now there is a element of risk involved no question but the results can be solid. She has run that pc for 6 years now. That said we are coming off the crypto craze and a new GPU product launch. So Your looking at a pool of cards you might not want to touch because they ran 24/7 for god knows how long or someone that wants to step up to more power. I would avoid anyone selling more then 1 or 2 cards. You can try to communicate with the seller to see how the card was used but your answer is only as accurate as the seller is honest. And any deal that looks too good, is.
